The Madness Continues

March turned into May, learning went remote, but Winchester's elementary literacy coaches were determined to continue a WFEE grant designed to pick a Town Wide Favorite picture book. Zoom became the platform of choice, Kidstock! provided the readers and all schools hosted online meetings for the entire student body.

"These large group virtual Zoom meetings are a way to build community! While listening to the live read alouds, it is such a treat to see all of the students and teachers together in one place again. It is truly heartwarming!" Ella Adams-MacLeod,Literacy Coach

Reading of the Final Eight on Zoom begins Tuesday, check with your child's teacher to see what time. Each school announces their favorite on June 15th with the Town Wide winner announced on the 17th.

"The kids were totally engaged and focused on listening! And Kidstock! did such a nice job reading the stories. What a great way to continue Book Madness." Elementary Librarian

The COVID crisis is forcing us all to re-think many things. Thanks to our literacy coaches and classroom teachers for finding a little fun in the madness.
