Winchester turned out today for the Class of 2020. And it was a beautiful thing to see.
Hundreds of people came out of their houses to clap, cheer and wish our WHS graduates well as a rolling parade moved through town.
There were lots of smiles and laughter as graduates celebrated the next chapter of their lives.
But there were also more than a few tears shed.
It is hard to know who cried first or hardest, families touched by this tribute to their children, the graduates themselves or their teachers who were so excited to re-connect if only for a moment.
Education isn't about the books, the tests or technology. It is about the people, the educators who love our children and the children who make us so proud.
