Weird Picture, Effective Learning

A picture of the Starlab portable planetarium from the inside isn't very exciting. Too dark inside for good pictures.

But that was no barricade to 5th graders at Lynch Elementary School who enthusiastically explored the space this week, developing an understanding of the constellations and the movement of the earth.

"What they take from this is a touch point to raise their curiosity so they can explore more in depth with their teachers." Katherine Dwyer, STEM Coordinator

The WFEE funded planetarium visits Ambrose Elementary in early October. Dwyer will be taking it to each elementary school this year, allowing both 1st and 5th graders to take a "hands on" approach to learning.
