Beginning with the 2009-2010 grant cycle WFEE will only accept grant applications on line. If you feel you cannot submit your request using the form below please contact the Executive Director, Caren Connelly, at 781 756-8020.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot save this online submittal in a draft version. We suggest downloading the Professional Development Grant form as a Word document, saving it to your computer and writing your grant. When you are ready to submit the grant you can cut and paste the information into our on line form and submit the grant request.

Final submission date for individual and major collaborative grants:  February 27, 2009.  We are unable to accept late applications. 

Please note that grants funds cannot be used for major, district wide initiatives. Those requests should come though the Superintendent's office.

Part VI: Optional letter of support

 

You may (but are not required to) submit a written statement from an administrator or department head is support of this program. If your program will take you out of the classroom, you must obtain a letter of acknowledgement from the principal of your school.

 

By accepting funding, grant recipients agree to:

  1. Participate in the WFEE grant evaluation process, including submitting a final report on the grant's outcomes and the expenditure of funds.

  2. Seek approval from the WFEE of changes in the implementation or focus of the project, and return all unused funds to the WFEE at the end of the school year.

  3. Publicize the project directly to parents, teachers and the community at large by means of the school newsletter, etc. Press releases, reviewed by WFEE, should be submitted to local newspapers (including, but not limited to, The Woburn Daily Times Chronicle, The Winchester Star and The Boston Glove, North West). When issuing statements and/or press releases describing the project, the following information must be included: "This project is supported by a grant from the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence."

  4. Encourage the replication of WFEE grants by making all travel and materials accessible to other teachers and administrators.

  5. Successful applicants must notify WFEE about their publicity plans and follow through on those plans. In the case of Major Collaborative Grants, failure to do so may jeopardize grant funding.
