Education grants are received once a year, the updcoming deadline is February 27, 2017. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but not awarded until the spring.

WFEE is supporting the integration of technology into all classrooms through an initiative called powerED UP! Grant requests that involve the purchase of technology such as student devices like Chromebooks or iPads should go directly to the Winchester Public Schools. Applications can be downloaded here and the completed forms emailed to Jessica Palino at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Process Basics for grant proposals:
- Grants Committee meets in October to consider first round of professional development grants; Committee weekly in March to review education and round 2 pd applications;
- WFEE Board reviews Committee recommendations in October and April;
- Grants presented to the School Committee in both October and May;
- Applicants are then notified about the status of their grant proposal.
The WFEE Grants Review Committee consists of WFEE
trustees and educators from the community who are
not employed by the Town of Winchester.
Committee considers each application according
to the criteria stated in the WFEE Grants' guidelines. In the event that the
Committee needs further clarification of any aspect
of the proposal, the applicant may be asked to meet
with Committee members to offer a more detailed explanation.
Any grant request over the amount of $7,500
automatically requires a meeting with the Review Committee.
